Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (219) - LOCH LOMOND HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 ATOMIC FORCE (G221) H Bowman Slow to begin.
Horse No 2 RED ELEGANCE (H241) M Chadwick Shifted out abruptly at the start.
When questioned, M Chadwick stated that after shifting out abruptly at the start, his mount hung out across the heels of BUNTA BABY near the 600 Metres and as a result was checked and lost ground.
A warning was placed on the racing manners of RED ELEGANCE.
When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, M Chadwick stated that his mount continued to lay out and proved difficult to fully test.
He said as a result over the concluding stages he was unable to ride his mount out with full vigour.
The Stewards advised Jockey Chadwick that, wherever possible, he should ensure that he rides his mounts out to the best of his ability.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 TURF PHOENIX (J294) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 6 ALLGREEKTOME (H007) E C W Wong After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount hung out throughout the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
When questioned, Trainer D A Hayes stated that he was of the opinion that ALLGREEKTOME would perform well tonight although it had not impressed him when it barrier trialed on the All Weather surface on 19 November 2024.
He said as he felt the performance of the barrier trial was due to the All Weather surface, he was of the opinion that ALLGREEKTOME would still be able to perform well tonight.
He added that ALLGREEKTOME was disadvantaged by YOUTHFUL SPIRITS showing superior pace in the early stages and the early stages being run inside standard time.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
The performance of ALLGREEKTOME was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, ALLGREEKTOME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 ETERNAL FORTUNE (K010) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 CHARMING BABE (J513) M F Poon After travelling a short distance was checked when crowded between HAPPY UNITED and RED ELEGANCE which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
Horse No 10 HAPPY UNITED (H208) L Hewitson Near the 600 Metres ALLGREEKTOME hung out and made contact with HAPPY UNITED.
Horse No 11 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 DO YOUR PART (J444) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly and then shortly after was checked when crowded between CHARMING BABE and RED ELEGANCE which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 HORSEPOWER (J431) Z Purton Examined on arrival at the Start by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame in the left front leg and was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice, HORSEPOWER was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, HORSEPOWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Healthy Healthy turned the final bend four from the rear and quickened nicely with one wider to get up 50m out for a first win at his fifth start this season. He had been racing consistently well. Eternal Fortune found one just too good after settling one off travelling better than midfield from gate 12. He's a winner waiting to happen. Youthful Spirits stayed on for third after setting a solid pace form gate eight. It was a better performance. Atomic Force ran on well down the outside for fourth after making his run wide towards the rear following a tardy start from a wide draw. It was another honest performance. It was a long way back to Bunta Baby who plugged on evenly after a rails run travelling forward of midfield. It was a better effort at his second local start. Red Elegance made a steady bid from just worse than midfield after getting impeded mid-race. He had an excuse. Favourite Allgreektome found nothing when asked for an effort after a speed-chasing run. He couldn't back up a near wire-to-wire win last time out. Horsepower was withdrawn by order of the stewards on veterinary advice.
