Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (217) - EDINBURGH HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GALLANT VALOUR (H323) H Bowman Shifted in shortly after the start and bumped NEW POWER.
Approaching the 100 Metres lay in, resulting in its rider H Bowman having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 KING ECCELLENTE (G264) H Bentley Bumped at the start.
Horse No 3 GOLDEN RISE (H242) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 PATCH OF DIAMONDS (J450) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by GOOD PROSPECT which shifted in.
Horse No 5 NEW POWER (H325) Y L Chung Knuckled over badly on jumping, resulting in Y L Chung becoming unbalanced.
A short distance later was then bumped by GALLANT VALOUR which shifted in.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) C L Chau Approaching the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind ROARING BEBE when that runner shifted out to improve.
Near the 200 Metres was then shifted to the outside of KING ECCELLENTE to secure clear running.
Horse No 7 SEA SAPPHIRE (H343) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly.
In the early stages raced keenly when being shifted behind GALLANT VALOUR to obtain cover.
After the event, A Atzeni stated that with the horse having its first start for Trainer D Eustace, he was instructed to ride SEA SAPPHIRE in a conservative manner in the early stages.
He said in the Home Straight SEA SAPPHIRE finished the race off only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 ROARING BEBE (H105) B Avdulla Approaching the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of VALHALLA to secure clear running and raced tight between VALHALLA and KING ECCELLENTE for a short distance after the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 ALMIGHTY KICK (J254) C Y Ho After the event, C Y Ho reported that from an inside barrier when his mount commenced well, it was able to hold a more forward position than it had at its previous race starts.
Horse No 10 SO TREASURE (H351) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick reported that after being shifted across behind runners from the outside barrier in the early stages, SO TREASURE did not travel well during the event and ran on only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 PARTY WARRIOR (E368) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Gallant Valour ran on from behind midfield and got up 100m out, despite running around, to ring up a third career win from nine starts over the Valley 1,200m. Golden Rise found one just too good after one-off trip from better than midfield. He's close to a win. Valhalla kept on gamely for third after leading one off outside Almighty Kick from gate three. It was a return to form third up this season. Good Prospect ran on nicely to just get up for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was a better effort with a switch to the Valley at his third career start. Almighty Kick grudgingly gave way after prompting the pace along the inside. He's slowly but surely coming around in his five starts. Favourite Roaring Bebe only plodded when asked for an effort after a box-seat run. He has failed twice over the Valley 1,200m to build on a near win on his seasonal reappearance over the Valley 1,000m. King Eccellente was given every chance despite a one-out, one-back run. He needs a claimer's allowance after managing only one distant second from three runs carrying top weight down in Class Four.
