Race Six : (144) - FAT TSEUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 HAPPY DAY (G119) A Badel Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned behind HAYDAY.
Horse No 3 HAPPY SOUL (G249) C L Chau Approaching the 150 Metres became held up for clear running behind HAYDAY and could not be ridden out until leaving the 100 Metres.
Horse No 4 GOLDEN RISE (H242) B Avdulla Raced wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.
Horse No 5 TRIUMPHANT MORE (J489) Z Purton Crowded shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 GLORY CLOUD (H320) H Bowman When questioned regarding his riding, H Bowman stated that the instructions were to find an on-pace position with cover.
He said after GLORY CLOUD commenced well, he settled outside the leader HAYDAY in the early stages, however, his mount raced keenly.
He added when TRIUMPHANT MORE improved to his outside, he elected to allow that runner to cross rather than contesting that position as he felt this would be detrimental to the chances of GLORY CLOUD settling in the middle stages of the event.
After considering his explanations, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Bowman in the circumstances were reasonable.

Horse No 7 LOVING VIBES (J359) C Y Ho From the 200 Metres until the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind TRIUMPHANT MORE.
Horse No 8 LUCKY MAN (J315) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between TRIUMPHANT MORE which was taken out by RAGNARR and GLORY B which raced tight to the inside of GOLDEN RISE which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 9 GLORY B (H373) H Bentley After the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid RAGNARR.
After the event, H Bentley reported that after being badly crowded and becoming unbalanced shortly after the start, his mount did not travel comfortably thereafter.
He said when he was concerned with his mount's action in the Home Straight, he did not continue to ride it out when not in a competitive position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of GLORY B, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, GLORY B will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 RAGNARR (H297) K Teetan For some distance after the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid LOVING VIBES (C Y Ho) which shifted in when not clear.
C Y Ho was reprimanded.
Horse No 12 PARTY WARRIOR (E368) K De Melo After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when crowded between GLORY B and GOLDEN RISE.

It was a winning debut for late-fancied Triumphant More, who dug in late to just get the better of favourite Glory Cloud after working forward to sit outside the leader. Glory Cloud did everything right but could not get the win after moving to the lead 80m out. He's a winner waiting to happen after placing in two of three starts this season. Ragnarr ran on nicely down the outside for third without threatening the top two after making his run one off the rail with cover in midfield. It was an improved effort with a move to blinkers. Hayday was on his tippy toes 50m out after easily finding the front from gate 10. He might be hard to run down if they make use of a seven or 10-pound claimer. Happy Soul had an excuse after getting caught up in traffic from the 250m to 100m following a prominent run along the inside. Golden Rise kept on all right after getting posted wide without cover travelling in midfield from a tricky gate. Loving Vibes was held up for a majority of the straight run after finding a position one off the rail with cover from better than midfield.
