Recap by phillip woo

After a prominent run on the fence, favourite Reliable Profit easily got up for back-toback wins following a return to the dirt 1,650m and move to pacifiers. He's racing well and can win again on this surface. Excel Wongchoy found one too smart after briefly hitting the front 200m out after a wide trip with cover. He's close to a win. Forever Folks got going late to snatch third after travelling near the inside from behind midfield. It was another good effort carrying more weight following a win. Run Run Good stuck around for fourth after getting his own way in front from gate three. It was an improved effort with a step up to a mile and switch in surfaces. On The Lash had little left in the tank near the 100m after rolling forward three wide to track the speed from gate nine. It was his best effort from four starts with a switch to dirt racing. Early favourite Galvanic found nothing when asked for an effort after a handy run one off the fence. It was a disappointing effort following a downgrade, but he was carrying top weight. Snowalot never menaced after a wide run behind midfield.
