Race Seven : (117) - THE PREMIER BOWL (HANDICAP) - Class G2 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 KA YING RISING (J062) Z Purton Crowded on jumping.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301) H Bowman Bumped at the start.
When questioned, H Bowman stated that his mount was able to obtain a position behind the leaders in the early stages where it travelled well.
He said approaching the 400 Metres he placed his mount under pressure, however, it responded only fairly to his riding and lay in from the 300 Metres when being ridden out.
He added whilst INVINCIBLE SAGE gave ground over the final 200 Metres he had no issue with its action.
Trainer D J Hall stated that, in his opinion INVINCIBLE SAGE had performed best on surfaces with more give and may not have appreciated today's "Good to Firm" surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 ENCOUNTERED (G236) H Bentley Had its right front plate refitted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Horse No 7 HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE (H093) K Teetan From the 400 Metres until the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running behind TAJ DRAGON.
Horse No 8 BEAUTY WAVES (H294) M Chadwick Shifted in at the start, bumped with KA YING RISING and became unbalanced.
Near the 700 Metres was steadied away from KA YING RISING when racing keenly.
Horse No 11 HELIOS EXPRESS (H302) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Raging favourite Ka Ying Rising settled one-out, one-back from a tricky gate and shot by long-time leader California Spangle near the 200m to win in a very fast time. He's going places after ringing up a seventh win from nine starts. Helios Express came from last to finish a clear-cut second. It was a brilliant effort off a 210-day break, and he'll be one to follow up to a mile trip this season. California Spangle lost nothing in defeat after getting softened in front by Harmony N Blessed by carrying top weight. Sensationally backed, Beauty Waves just missed a placing after a handy run one off the fence. It was another good effort following a straight 1,000m win. Lucky With You ran on nicely down the outside to just miss the frame after settling fourth last and three deep from a wide draw. He is a capable sprinter when striking a fast surface. Flying Ace made a steady bid without threatening after a rail run from behind midfield. Howdeepisyourlove got going when the race was all but over from towards the rear.
