Recap by phillip woo
Following a one-off run in third, favourite Harold Win just prevailed after shaking off a challenge from Awesome Treasure 200m out for a first win at his sixth start. Blazing Wind came from last to finish a close second. He appreciated the step back to the distance of a closing fourth at his second start. Awesome Treasure kept on gamely for third after taking the sit in second and handing up the lead to Glorious Expert. He relished a return to Class Four. Win Speed ran on all right from midfield for fourth without threatening the top three. It was his best effort from six starts. After a handy run on the fence, King Oberon came up one paced when asked for an effort. He failed to live up to seconds in his past two starts and may be looking for a longer trip. Punted late, Lucky Touch ran on without threatening from towards the rear. It was an OK effort over an inadequate trip. Well-fancied newcomer Everyone's Classic never got in on the act from towards the rear. He needed the outing.
