Recap by phillip woo
Brave Star kept finding after working to the lead 150m out for a third career win over the Valley 1,200m. He lived up to a winning trial in Conghua and does go well fresh. Healthy Healthy stayed on nicely for second after getting posted four wide without cover in midfield at one point from gate nine. Like the winner, he had made a good impression from his recent trials. Young Arrow roared home late for third after biding his time one from the rear. He should be picking up a race soon. Sovereign Fund kept on reasonably well for fourth after stalking the pace outside long-time leader Parterre. It was an improved effort following a gear change and a switch to the Valley. Favourite Kaholo Angel ran on without threatening after making his run from behind midfield on the fence. He was carrying top weight and wasn't suited by the race tempo. Mojave Desert was making noticeable ground late near the inside after settling in third last from the widest draw. It was a positive showing after flashing hints of ability in three Sha Tin outings last term.
