Recap by phillip woo
Punted late, Sweet Briar showed a good turn of foot down the outside to win going away for a third career win. He was a Class Three horse down in grade carrying top weight. Smart Fighter found one too good after briefly hitting the front 100m out following a prominent run. He is capable on his day and was a well rated runner. Tactical Command ran on nicely for third after making his run two from the rear. He produced a good run despite a return to Class Four following a win in June. Favourite Gallant Valour stayed on a non-threatening fourth near the inside after settling on the rail in midfield. He appeared to need the run. En Perfecto made good ground late to finish next best after making his run one from the rear. He produced a much better effort following a lifeless debut run on opening day at Sha Tin. Specked late, Sunny Darling only plodded when asked for more after a box-seat run. He is limited. Lucky Planet was struggling 100m out after turning the final bend three lengths on top. He went too hard after emerging with the lead from E Universe.
