Amazing Run turned in by far the best performance of his Hong Kong career to taste success in the city for the first time at start 11, rattling home from near last turning for home to grab Fighting Machine in the shadows of the post. Favourite Fighting Machine suffered a narrow defeat for the second straight run and certainly looks capable of winning again soon after missing by a short head. Backed ferociously late to start $4.5, Amazing Duck had to work to find the lead and could only manage third, two and a half lengths off the winner. It was his best showing in a while. Forerunner made some ground from behind midfield to finish fourth but it's been a long time between drinks for the son of Almanzor. After keeping Amazing Duck off the rail early before taking a trail, Highland Rahy looked up for the fight early in the straight before fading into fifth. Jumbo Legend found trouble a couple of times in the straight and had to settle for sixth.

Race Six : (6) - MA ON SHAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 JUMBO LEGEND (G266) E C W Wong Blundered on jumping and then was steadied when crowded between CIRCUIT FIERY and HIGHLAND RAHY which shifted out abruptly.

Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of CALIFORNIA MOXIE to continue into clear running.

For some distance near the 100 Metres improved into a narrow run between CALIFORNIA MOXIE and HIGHLAND RAHY and as a result made contact with CALIFORNIA MOXIE.

Horse No 2 RED ACLAIM (J017) A Hamelin A Hamelin was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time.

Horse No 3 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 HIGHLAND RAHY (J298) C Y Ho On jumping was bumped and became unbalanced.

After the event, C Y Ho reported that on jumping his mount shifted out abruptly when it appeared to shy away from the starting rostrum.

Horse No 6 CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131) B Avdulla Bumped after the 100 Metres.

Horse No 7 STAR LINE (J110) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

Horse No 8 BEAUTIFUL WIN (J250) K De Melo K De Melo was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Held up for clear running from the 450 Metres to the 300 Metres.

Horse No 9 CHARITY FOR ALL (H417) H Bowman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) A Badel A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 FORERUNNER (G465) Y L Chung Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 12 AMAZING RUN (H401) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 13 CALL ME SUPREME (J202) K Teetan After the event, K Teetan stated that whilst his mount may appreciate being stepped up in distance, it did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.

Trainer C W Chang stated that the only explanation he could offer was that CALL ME SUPREME may not have appreciated the "Good to Yielding" track conditions, but nevertheless he was disappointed with the performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of CALL ME SUPREME was considered to be disappointing as compared to its recent starts.

Before being allowed to race again, CALL ME SUPREME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
