Horse No 1 FAST NETWORK (J358) Z Purton Shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of CHEVAL VALIANT which shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 4 CHEVAL VALIANT (E336) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung Over the concluding stages raced tight to the outside of METRO WARRIOR and as a consequence could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 6 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) B Thompson Lost its left front plate on the way to the Start, was replated, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Horse No 7 RUN RUN COOL (E322) H Bentley Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of SUPER GLORY to endeavour to obtain clear running.
As SUPER GLORY shifted in, RUN RUN COOL then became held up for clear running between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.
Horse No 8 ALP'S AFFECTION (J289) A Hamelin Jumped awkwardly.
Shortly after the start blundered when positioned close to the heels of GLORIOUS EXPERT which shifted out and away from SUPER GLORY after being taken out by that runner.
Horse No 10 GLORIOUS EXPERT (J028) P N Wong Near the 950 Metres was hampered when taken out by SUPER GLORY which in turn was taken out by CHEVAL VALIANT.
Horse No 11 SUPER GLORY (J025) K Teetan Blundered leaving the 170 Metres.
Horse No 12 PARENTS' LOVE (H405) Y L Chung After the event, Y L Chung could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Fast Network carried on his winning ways, remaining unbeaten from two starts with consumate ease. With Cheval Valiant assuming his customary lead role, Fast Network stalked the speed under Zac Purton before coasting to a one-and-a-half-length victory with a sharp final 400m. He looks to have the tools to taste further success up in grade. Cheval Valiant stuck on solidly for second and looks a winner waiting to happen at this level. Glorious Expert made ground best under Britney Wong Po-ni and a featherweight of just 109 pounds, handing the 10-pound claiming apprentice a placing at her first Hong Kong ride. Metro Warrior was brown-lamped in betting but could only stick on for fourth as an $8 chance. Colourful Winner made some late ground and managed to finish fifth, while Circuit Victory poked through late to improve on his three runs last season for sixth.
