Race Ten : (830) - SIGHT WINNER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 HOLY LAKE (H260) A Hamelin From after the 400 Metres until near the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) H Bowman Near the 350 Metres was steadied when crowded between PRAY FOR MIR (M Chadwick) which shifted in and HOLY LAKE (A Hamelin) which shifted out when improving into a narrow run between ARIEL and TOURBILLON PRINCE.
Both M Chadwick and A Hamelin were advised to exercise more care.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 3 YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 FALLON (H219) Y L Chung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Passing the 1400 Metres raced tight to the inside of I CAN which improved to the inside of TOURBILLON PRINCE.
Horse No 5 BEAUTY LIVE (G057) K C Leung Was left racing wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
Horse No 6 BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215) H Bentley Slow to begin.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 PRAY FOR MIR (J245) M Chadwick A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 THE HEIR (H459) C Y Ho Near the 350 Metres was steadied to avoid TOURBILLON PRINCE which was giving ground and was shifted to that runner's outside shortly after to obtain clear running.
Horse No 9 SATIRICAL FAN (J214) E C W Wong On jumping was bumped by FALLON which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 ARIEL (G223) L Hewitson After the race, L Hewitson stated that his intention was to lead, however, his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so.
He added in the Home Straight ARIEL did not respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner.
Horse No 11 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) B Thompson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 13 SURUGA BAY (J022) K Teetan Withdrawn on 13.7.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).
Before being allowed to race again, SUGURA BAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Young Achiever won with something in hand after rushing to the lead 200m out with wo wider out after a patient ride travelling fourth last for a first win. Holy Lake just scrambled home for second after a rail run from behind midfield. He has had a good campaign and relished a step back in distance after a 2,000m defeat. The Heir ran on nicely to just miss the quinella spot after getting held up early in the straight turning the final bend one from the rear. It was a better effort at his third start. I Can succumbed late after going for home on top 350m out following a pace-prompting role from the 1,000m mark. It was a pleasing performance despite a return to Class Three. Beauty Live ran on without threatening after a wide with cover trip from midfield. He has been disappointing this term. Fallon got going late from towards the rear to finish next best.
