Recap by phillip woo
Punted late, Woodfire Bro reeled in Yellowfin along the inside after a box-seat run to ring up a fifth career win. It was not a surprise after placing in four of seven earlier starts this term. Yellowfin prompted a hot pace from a tricky gate and produced a cheeky sight after moving to the lead 450m out. He is as honest as the day is long. Favourite Chill Chibi ran on well for third after settling one off the rail behind midfield. He is always a chance over this course. Helene Feeling stayed on for best after a prominent run one off the fence. It was another honest performance. Turin Mascot ran on steadily for fifth from behind midfield. He is more effective over a longer trip. Universal Horizon kept on one-paced from midfield. It was an OK effort in a higher grade. Berlin Tango came from last at the 200m to finish next best. It wasn't a bad run in a higher class. Outgate was a non-factor after settling in third last from a wide draw. It was an out-of-character effort carrying more weight following a last-start win. Adefill never landed a blow ridden for luck from a wide draw. He's a dirt horse.
