Goodmanship quickened nicely after settling on the rail in midfield to notch a second win at his 28th start and first from 10 runs this term. He was well rated off a third over this course and distance off 37 in November. Favourite Happy Tango found one just too good after a box-seat run. It was another honest performance. Gallant Goody ran on well to snatch third after finding a spot behind midfield on the fence. It was his best effort at his second run down in Class Five. Plentiful was stopping 50m out after easily clearing to lead from gate 11. It was a better effort following a recent trial win. Noble One came from last for fifth without threatening the top four after a slow start. He is limited and better suited over 1,200m. Prestige Moochi ran on late to finish next best after making his run one from the rear. Multimore did not fire after a prominent run with cover one off the fence. It was a disappointing effort as one of the favourites. Easy Two never landed a blow from behind midfield. He couldn't lift on back-to-back placings and will now be mandatorily retired off a rating of 18.

Race One : (812) - SILVER GRECIAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1000Meters

Horse No 1 HAPPY TANGO (D075) E C W Wong Near the 800 Metres brushed the running rail.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 KING INVINCIBLE (H199) K C Leung Bumped at the start.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a roarer which had previously been reported.

Horse No 3 PLENTIFUL (G400) L Ferraris When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in.

Horse No 5 GALLANT GOODY (H434) M Chadwick Shifted in at the start and was bumped.

Horse No 6 JAZZ CLUB (G285) H Bentley Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

After the race, H Bentley reported that whilst his mount was obliged to race wide, it had cover, but JAZZ CLUB did not travel comfortably and failed to run on in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 NOBLE ONE (G278) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and shortly after was crowded by KING INVINCIBLE which shifted in after being bumped by GALLANT GOODY.

Horse No 9 PRESTIGE MOOCHI (H314) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was bumped by JAZZ CLUB which shifted out.

Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight and approaching the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded between NOBLE ONE and GALLANT GOODY (M Chadwick) which shifted out.

M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care.

Horse No 10 GOODMANSHIP (E208) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 12 EASY TWO (G423) M F Poon Raced keenly in the early stages and leaving the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid MULTIMORE.

After the race, M F Poon could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

The performance of EASY TWO was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.

Before being allowed to race again, EASY TWO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
