Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (786) - SERVING THE COMMUNITY 1200M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 PARTERRE (E234) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 TELECOM POWER (J332) K C Leung Bumped at the start.
Horse No 4 TELECOM DRAGON (H322) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount was obliged to race wide throughout the event and after being taken out wider making the Home Turn did not finish the race off strongly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, TELECOM DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 HAROLD WIN (J280) A Atzeni Bumped at the start.
Approaching the 300 Metres became held up for clear running between PARTERRE and GIANT LEAP and did not obtain clear running until near the 100 Metres.
In this incident, HAROLD WIN made contact with GIANT LEAP near the 200 Metres when endeavouring to obtain clear running.
Horse No 7 LUCKY IMPACT (J337) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 SIGHT SUPREME (J258) Z Purton Raced wide and without cover from the 900 Metres.
Horse No 10 MR MAESTRO (J033) K Teetan Slow to begin.
Horse No 11 GIANT LEAP (J143) A Hamelin Bumped near the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 URBAN TRIUMPH (H200) A Badel Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Parterre kept on gamely after turning the final bend a length on top after a flying start from gate 10 for a second course and distance win from three starts in Class Four. He's racing well but does tend to find things harder in Class Three. Giant Leap stayed on nicely for second after chasing the leader one off following an awkward start from gate 14. He's naturally coming to hand in his five starts and should be saluting shortly. Early favourite Harold Win was unlucky after getting held up behind the quinella pair following a box-seat run. He's a winner waiting to happen following three progressive runs. Post-time favourite Lucky Impact eventually got going from behind midfield on the fence to fill the frame. It was a good debut performance. First Love ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a positive effort on debut.
