Racing Incident Report
Race One : (742) - ASTER HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 DRAGON PRIDE (D164) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 550 Metres lay in and made contact with the running rail.
After the race, A Badel reported that he was concerned with his mount's action in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 MASTER OF LUCK (G276) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 3 KEEN UNITY (G298) H Bentley Approaching the 100 Metres H Bentley dropped his left rein for a number of strides before regaining it.
After the race, H Bentley reported that after settling towards the back of the field, KEEN UNITY found it difficult to make up ground when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 SPEEDSTAR (G181) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 SUPERB MOVE (G304) A Atzeni From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the race, A Atzeni reported that from the outside barrier his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions issued.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 NINJA DERBY (H339) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No HAPPIHOOD (H261) M L Yeung Withdrawn on 11.6.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter HANG'S CHOICE.
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPIHOOD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Charming Steed drew clear after being gifted an easy time in front from gate eight for a second win from his past three starts. He has been in terrific form and made full use of the claimer's allowance. Ninja Derby kept on well to finish a clear second after making his run in the box seat. It was his best run to date from 16 starts at his second run over the Valley 1,650m. Hang's Choice ran on well for third after settling on the rail in midfield. He is always a chance over the Valley 1,650m but did have a good gate. Favourite Speedstar ran on steadily for fourth with two wider out after travelling one off the rail in midfield. He is more effective at Sha Tin but is a well-rated runner. Punted late, Viva A La whacked on one-paced through the centre after a prominent run. Master Of Luck made late headway to finish next best after biding his time two from the rear. He requires a faster pace. Fortune President ran on without threatening near the inside after making his run three from the rear following a tardy start. Double Show made a mild bid after settling one off the rail behind midfield.
