Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (707) - SHUI CHUEN O HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 WINNING SEVEN (J005) H Bowman Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a continuous epiglottic entrapment.
Horse No 2 GO HERO (H315) Z Purton After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount raced too keenly during the running of the event and as a result was left without a finishing effort.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, GO HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 RELIABLE PROFIT (G462) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 CHIRON (E151) C Y Ho From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 MEDIC ELITE (G129) A Hamelin Had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the Home Turn.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 WOODFIRE CHAMP (H292) K C Leung Approaching the 300 Metres was inconvenienced by PRECISION GOAL which shifted out.
Horse No 7 PERFECT PEACH (E488) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 PRECISION GOAL (H016) H Bentley Approaching the 300 Metres shifted out under pressure, resulting in its rider H Bentley having to stop riding and straighten.
After the race, H Bentley stated that the only explanation he could offer for his mount's performance was that it failed to perform on the All Weather surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, PRECISION GOAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 13 EAGLE RUN (G415) Y L Chung After the race, Y L Chung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover from the 1200 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No CHARMING STEED (E494) C Y Ho Withdrawn on 28.5.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CHIRON.
Before being allowed to race again, CHARMING STEED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Asian One wove a run near the inside to get up 50m out after a rails run from midfield for a third win and first this season from 12 starts. Reliable Profit made it close on the wire after making his run outside the winner travelling midfield. He is a winner waiting to happen on his past two starts following a downgrade. Viva A La gave a cheeky sight for third after skipping clear in front by three lengths 300m out. It was clearly his best effort from four starts over the dirt 1,650m. Perfect Peach closed off reasonably well to fill the frame after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was another honest effort despite a switch in surfaces. Medic Elite was doing his best work late to finish next best after a patient ride fourth last from gate 10. He has had a lot of racing but continues to pick up prize money for connections this term. Green Laser ran on without threatening after biding his time four from the rear along the inside. Favourite Go Hero dropped off tamely after chasing the leading pair one off the fence with cover. He couldn't back up a close fourth last start despite a downgrade.
