Recap by phillip woo

Must Go showed a good turn of foot to win going away just inside the 100m after a wide trip towards the rear from gate nine, landing a second win from his past four starts over the dirt 1,200m. The three-year-old did it well carrying top weight but will need to raise his game next time out in Class Three. Regent Glory found one too smart on the day after moving to the lead 300m out following a pace-stalking run from gate 10. He held his form following a last-start win. Triumphant Warrior wove a run near the inside for third after a patient ride third last from a tricky gate. He can bob up at any moment. Spangle Fortune ran on steadily after a one-off trip from behind midfield to spice up the quartet. It was his best run ever in Class Four. Sky Song came from last for fifth after a tardy start. He has shown potential without winning in his four starts on both surfaces. Sunny Darling kept on evenly after a rail run from midfield. It was an okay effort. Diamond Flare tamely faded after working to lead from gate one. It was an out-of-character run after staying on for minor cheques in four prior starts on both surfaces.
