Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Rebel's Romance responded when popped the question 600m out to eventually draw clear 300m out following a pace-stalking run outside Moments In Time 1,900m out from the widest draw. He lived up to his incredible overseas form. Five G Patch ran on strongly to grab second from the rear of the field. He has been racing. La City Blanche stayed on well to grab third in the dying stages after chasing the leading pair. He was able to back up an upset win last start over this trip. Moments In Time grudgingly gave way after dictating the pace. He has run well in back-to-back Group races. Senor Toba made some ground late near the inside to finish next best after biding his time one from the rear. Massive Sovereign whacked on one paced over the last 150m with his bid down the outside after making his run two from the rear. He did not seem to get the trip. Russian Emperor never landed a blow after a rails run from midfield. He is beyond his better days. Straight Arron was eased down after finding nothing under the whip soon after straightening following a prominent run.
