Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (674) - SEINE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 WINNING ICEY (G246) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly.
After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount failed to travel throughout the event and raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) A Badel Bumped on jumping.
After the race, A Badel reported that his mount jumped only fairly and then as a result settled further back than intended.
He added that HEALTHY HEALTHY responded fairly to his riding in the Home Straight and may be looking to be stepped up in distance for its next race start.
Horse No 6 NEVER TOO SOON (E434) K De Melo Jumped only fairly and was then bumped shortly after the start.
For some distance approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running between MAGIC PHOENIX and SUPER WINNER which was giving ground.
After the race, K De Melo reported that whilst his mount had some difficulty obtaining clear running near the 200 Metres, it raced "flat" tonight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 ARMOUR EAGLE (G093) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and was bumped and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 CALIFORNIA TOUCH (J051) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.

After slotting fourth on the fence from gate seven, favourite Copartner Prance got up in the final stride for a fourth straight win over this course and distance. He's a progressive type and should remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. California Touch nearly went wire-to-wire after turning the final bend nearly three lengths on top. He is holding his form well with two placings following a Class Four win at his first go over the Valley 1,200m. Solar Partner ran on nicely for third without threatening the top two from behind midfield. He was able to back up a second last time out. Punted late, Our Lucky Glory ran on steadily near the inside for fourth after settling one off the fence in midfield. It was a decent effort up in grade following a win. Healthy Happy ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. Happy Trio just held his ground after travelling on the rail in better than midfield. He is itching for a return to Class Four. Winning Icey only plodded when a run finally presented itself 200m out after making his run five back on the fence.
