Ka Ying Victory just got up in the last couple of bounds to deny even money favourite Baby Crystil after a making his run near the far side from better than midfield for a third career win and both starts over the straight 1,000m. He was able to recapture top form coming back to the minimum trip. Baby Crystal found one just too good after jumping straight to the front from gate 10. It was another solid effort carrying top weight. Pleasing Endeavor kept on reasonably well for third after a speed-chasing run. He is always a chance over the minimum Sha Tin trip. Flying High stayed on a clear-cut fourth after a handy run. It was another honest effort. Super Love Dragon ran on all right after a tardy start on his local debut. Majestic Express just plodded from midfield near the far side. He is still acclimatising. Happy United faded after a prominent run travelling near the far side early on from a low draw. It was another disappointing effort trying the straight 1,000m for the first time. In the market, Fast Responder faded after sitting near the speed on the grandstand side. It was a disappointing run on his local debut.

Horse No 2 FAST RESPONDER (J295) L Hewitson After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount travelled satisfactorily until the 400 Metres where it came under pressure from that point and gave ground.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 700 Metres became unbalanced when racing to the outside of SUPER LOVE DRAGON.
