Recap by phillip woo

Well-backed Massive Action just scraped home after setting a decent pace early on leading from gate one for a second win from 12 starts this term. He did place second from two prior starts over the dirt 1,650m. Woodfire Bro stayed on very well to finish a close second after chasing the speed wide without cover the entire trip. He is honest and effective on both surfaces. Berlin Tango came with a bold move from last to make it a thriller on the wire. He is a winner waiting to happen on his past few starts on both starts. Apache Pass whacked on one-paced to fill the frame after a prominent run. It was a shade better performance following a downgrade. So We Joy ran on without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. Romantic Charm came up one paced after coming on-and-off the bridle following a rails run better than midfield. Alacrity faded after a speed-chasing run. It was another flat performance despite a downgrade. Favourite M Unicorn found nothing under a hustling ride towards the rear and was eased down soon after straightening.
