Horse No 1 BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213) B Avdulla After the race, B Avdulla stated that his mount was disadvantaged by the early stages of the event being run outside of standard time which resulted in the race developing into a sprint home.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 ATULLIBIGEAL (G173) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 WE ARE HERO (G207) L Hewitson Slow to begin and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Early favourite Lucky Encounter easily made all after a perfectly rated effort in front for a fifth win from 11 starts. He relished the step back in distance after a third last start over 1,400m. Post time favourite Gorgeous Win just got up late for second after a prominent run one off the fence. He's a progressive youngster and ran well up in grade off a lighter weight. Drombeg Banner kept on well after a pace-stalking run. It was a pleasing effort, but he has found things harder in his past five following back-to-back wins to start the term. Supreme Lucky only whacked on one paced after a box-seat run. He had his chance. Atullibigeal came from last to finish next best without threatening the top four. He wasn't suited by the race tempo. We Are Hero never landed a blow after a rails run from midfield. He's a 1,000m horse. Bundle Of Charm never came on after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an out-character effort carrying top weight following a last start win on dirt.
