After enjoying all favours in the box seat, favourite Master Of All hit the front 150m and kept on for a first win at his 11th start. He was able to build on a first placing on his last start wearing blinkers. General Winner ran on nicely through the middle to grab second after making his run five back on the fence. It was his best run of the campaign following a stable change. Yee Cheong Warrior came had to weave to grab third after biding his time three from the rear. He is capable at this level and was freshened up following a last-start defeat with blood in his trachea. Medic Elite ran on steadily near the inside for fourth after settling on the rail in midfield. He's an honest performer. Fortune Master made ground to take fourth ahead of Dragon Delight after he was ridden cold at the rear from gate nine. He's one to keep safe if he can draw a gate. Dragon Delight made late headway to finish next best after turning the final bend two from the rear. He doesn't appear from his past three runs to be far off a bottom.

Racing Incident Report

Race One : (559) - SEVERN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 GO HERO (H315) L Ferraris After the race, L Ferraris reported that when giving ground in the Home Straight he had some concerns with his mount's action and it made an abnormal breathing noise towards the finish of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Before being allowed to race again, GO HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 3 CHIU CHOW BROTHER (E188) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly.

After the race, H Bowman stated that with the early sectionals of the event being run inside of standard time, his mount did not show sufficient pace to lead the race.

He said as a result CHIU CHOW BROTHER was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and did not finish the race off.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 MEDIC ELITE (G129) H Bentley Bumped at the start.

Shortly after the start MASTER OF ALL (M L Yeung) shifted in, resulting in EASY TWO and GENERAL WINNER being taken in and crowding MEDIC ELITE which was steadied.

M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care.

Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.

Horse No 5 URBAN TRIUMPH (H200) K C Leung Shortly after the start was crowded by DRAGON DELIGHT which shifted in.

Horse No 6 MORE RICE (H271) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.

Horse No 7 MASTER OF ALL (H177) M L Yeung Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 DRAGON DELIGHT (G395) B Thompson Approaching the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

After the race, B Thompson stated that from a wide barrier and his mount coming back in distance, he was requested to ride it in a conservative manner in the early stages.

Horse No 9 EAGLE RUN (G415) Y L Chung Blundered on jumping and became unbalanced.

Near the 600 Metres got its head up and lay out when being steadied away from GO HERO.

Horse No 10 EASY TWO (G423) M F Poon Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 FORTUNE MASTER (D371) A Badel As A Hamelin was unable to fulfil the engagement on FORTUNE MASTER due to being overweight, A Badel was substituted as the rider of that horse.

The explanation provided by Jockey Hamelin for his overweight was accepted having regard to his good record in relation to like offences.

Horse No 13 GENERAL WINNER (E376) K Teetan Approaching the 300 Metres was briefly held up for clear running.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 14 DEVIL AND GOLD (G443) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, DEVIL AND GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
