Recap by phillip woo
Bundle Of Charm led in the closing stages to deny Wonder Kit after being asked to improve 500m out. He remains perfect in two starts on the dirt this term and is racing well on both surfaces this campaign. After stalking the pace from an awkward gate, Wonder Kit worked to the lead 150m out but found one too good. He's as honest as the day is long on either surface. Firming favourite Gummy Gummy had his chance after chasing the leading pair just off the fence but could only manage third. Magniac kept on fourth best without threatening the top three after settling on the rail run in better than midfield. It was another genuine effort on this surface. Seasons Wit came from last to finish next best. It was a good showing carrying top weight. Winning Icey only picked off a couple from near last. He's a Valley 1,200m specialist. Ping Hai Galaxy was yielding ground 100m out after dictating the run from gate six. Xponential was a non-factor after travelling one off the fence in midfield. He hasn't been the same in his past two runs following a win in January.
