Race Nine : (549) - CW CHU AND WU YEE SUN ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 FALLON (H219) B Avdulla After the race, B Avdulla reported that his mount travelled well during the early and middle stages, but when placed under pressure in the Home Straight failed to respond which he attributed to the track conditions which, whilst still rated as "Good" had effects of some light rain which had fallen during the meeting.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 I AM THE BOSS (H446) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 3 FRANTANCK (H429) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 SUMMIT IMPACT (J125) A Hamelin Bumped at the start.
Horse No 5 FLAGSHIP WARRIOR (G452) E C W Wong From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 150 Metres Apprentice E C W Wong dropped his whip.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ROMANTIC CHARM (H227) K De Melo Bumped at the start.
Horse No 7 AFFORDABLE (J242) B Thompson B Thompson was warned for using the whip on a horse that was out of contention and not responding to his use of the whip.
Horse No 8 BEATO (H090) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 SILVER UP (J078) M F Poon After the race, M F Poon reported that, in his opinion, his mount was not suited by the track conditions which, whilst still rated as "Good" had some effects of light rain which had fallen during the meeting.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

Horse No 14 EXCEL WONGCHOY (J194) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and then knuckled shortly after the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Punted late Frantanck kept on kicking after emerging the outright leader from gate four for second win over the 1,600m from his past three starts. He'll remain in the grade and might get away with another before season's end. Flagship Warrior finished nicely for second after switching into the open 200m out ridden cold early on from gate 14. He was able to back up a last-start third over the 1,400m again with the claimer atop. Beato ran on reasonably well for third after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. It was another honest effort. Favourite Winning Data had his chance after a box-seat run but could only manage fourth. He found a few too smart with a rise in class. Punted late Talents Ambition came from last to finish next best. He's flashed ability in his three starts and its only a matter of time before he salutes. Flamingo Trillion plugged on one-paced after a prominent run. Romantic Charm made some ground without threatening after a rails run from midfield.
