Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (547) - SHAW ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 HUGE WAVE (J197) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was bumped.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 ALL IS GOOD (G269) C L Chau Crowded at the start and became unbalanced.
After this incident, despite being ridden along in the early stages was unable to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
Horse No 3 VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (J079) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly, resulting in it shifting in and making contact with ALL IS GOOD.
Crowded on two occasions near the 900 Metres.
Horse No 4 SUPERB KID (H298) Z Purton Near the 900 Metres SUPERB KID and VIVA GRACIOUSNESS were steadied when crowded by SUNNY DARLING (Apprentice Y L Chung) which, after initially shifting in, was then corrected by its rider.
A short distance later, BEAUTY FIT (A Hamelin) shifted in, taking SUNNY DARLING in and again crowding VIVA GRACIOUSNESS and SUPERB KID.
Both Apprentice Chung and A Hamelin were reprimanded.
Near the 400 Metres raced tight between ORIENTAL SMOKE and VIVA GRACIOUSNESS and as a result made contact with ORIENTAL SMOKE.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 CITY THUNDER (J173) L Hewitson Crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 6 LEEDOX (J154) K De Melo From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467) H Bentley Bumped near the 400 Metres.
Horse No 9 SATIRICAL FAN (J214) K C Leung Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start by CITY THUNDER which was positioned tight to the inside of BEAUTY FIT.
The performance of SATIRICAL FAN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SATIRICAL FAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 BEAUTY MISSILE (H123) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 MIDORI BURLY (J083) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and then from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After improving to the inside of ALL IS GOOD after the 600 Metres was then steadied when briefly crowded by ALL IS GOOD which shifted in.
From the 400 Metres was held up for clear running and then was shifted to the outside where it secured a clear run approaching the 200 Metres.

Favourite Superb Kid got the gaps when required to score a comfortable win after hitting the front near the 100m following a rails run from midfield for a second win and second from his past four starts. Punted late Beauty Missile ran on well for second after two-tothree wide trip with cover from midfield. It was another good run without winning with a step up to 1,400m. Beauty Fit found a couple too good after assuming the lead rounding the final bend following a speed-tracking run from a wide draw. He didn't beat much for a slot in the placings. City Thunder ran on late for fourth without threatening the top three after a patient ride fourth last from a tricky gate. It was a better effort. Midori Burly came from last and widest out to finish next best. He should be one to keep an eye on shortly in Class Four. Viva Graciousness only plodded after a one-off trip from midfield. He's still settling in. Huge Wave failed to lift after a handy run on the fence. He couldn't back up a massively priced third last start.
