Race Six : (546) - GRADUATE SCHOOL ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 SIXTH GENERATION (G120) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 2 VERBIER (J187) H Bentley Raced keenly in the early stages.
Near the 900 Metres was hampered when taken wider by JUMBO FORTUNE which shifted out when racing keenly.
Horse No 3 VOYAGE SAMURAI (J026) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 FOREVER CHARM (J081) A Badel After the race, A Badel stated that from an inside barrier he was able to obtain a more forward position on his mount.
Horse No 5 GOLDEN DARCI (H470) H Bowman After the race, H Bowman stated that with the pace of the event being run outside of standard time, GOLDEN DARCI raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and was steadied away from RIVER VIEWS.
He said as a result GOLDEN DARCI finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
In the early stages raced keenly and near the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from CHILLI BABA.
Horse No 7 FIREFOOT (J183) K De Melo Slow to begin.
Horse No 8 WAR OF COURAGE (C483) K H Chan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 RIVER VIEWS (G212) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau stated that his intention was to be more forward on his mount, but when a number of runners to his inside held their position in the early stages, he elected to shift in and take a handy position with cover behind PATCH OF TIME.
Horse No 11 PATCH OF TIME (H483) K Teetan Fractious in the barriers, delaying the start.
Before being allowed to race again, PATCH OF TIME will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
Horse No 12 CHILLI BABA (G339) A Hamelin Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 14 NOBLE WIN (H195) B Thompson Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No BEAUTY CHAMP (G137) H Bentley Withdrawn on 29.3.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter VERBIER.
Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY CHAMP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No PACKING WISHER (H448) Z Purton Withdrawn on 28.3.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetence) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter WAR OF COURAGE.
Before being allowed to race again, PACKING WISHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Voyage Samurai kept finding after turning the final bend nearly two lengths on top leading from gate four for a second win plus a second from as many starts. War Of Courage gave the winner a run for his money after a pace-prompting trip to finish a clear-cut second. It was another honest effort. Top Top Tea ran on steadily to just win a battle for third after a rails run from better than midfield. He was reunited with his favourite rider Alfred Chung. Sixth Generation ran on steadily to just miss third after a rails run from behind midfield. He's in the right grade but is better suited at the Valley. Chilli Baba ran on well for fifth after a wide without cover run from behind midfield. Noble Win made some ground without threatening late near the inside after making his run three from the rear. He's destined for a downgrade. Golden Darci made some ground after biding his time five back and one off the fence. He couldn't back up a placing off a seven-day break. Patch Of Time failed to lift when push came to shove after a prominent run.
