Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Young Champion quickened nicely to take control 200m out after a one-off trip from behind midfield. After back-to-back local wins, he's got a bright future. Blue Marlin ran on nicely for second after getting badly held-up for a run until the 150m following a midfield run near the inside. It was a solid run in defeat despite a rise in class. Lucky Encounter stayed on well for third after chasing the speed one off in third. It was an encouraging effort trying a longer trip. Supreme Lucky ran on strongly down the outside over the concluding stages to win a photo for fourth over Dancing Code. It was a better run at his second run back following a break. Dancing Code made ground late near the inside to just miss fourth prize money after a patient ride two from the rear. It was another honest effort over the 1,400m. Flaming Rabbit had his chance after chasing the leader I Give on the fence. He's struggling to recapture top form. Keefy only plodded after a one-off trip from midfield.
