Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (469) - THE KOWLOON TONG CLUB TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 NOT USUAL STAR (G396) C L Chau Bumped near the 250 Metres.
Horse No 5 TORONADO PHANTOM (E300) M Barzalona Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) Z Purton Near the 900 Metres was bumped by STELLAR SWIFT (K Teetan) which shifted in in an attempt to obtain a position one-off behind O'LINER.
As a result, LADY'S CHOICE became unbalanced when taken in towards PRAWNS ELEVEN.
K Teetan was advised to exercise more care.
Z Purton stated that after this incident LADY'S CHOICE lay out and made contact with STELLAR SWIFT near the 700 Metres.
He added LADY'S CHOICE failed to travel after the initial incident, continued to lay out in the Home Straight and did not respond to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of LADY'S CHOICE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race start.
Before being allowed to race again, LADY'S CHOICE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 LEEDOX (J154) B Thompson Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Lay in in the Home Straight when giving ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) K Teetan Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and bumped with LADY'S CHOICE after the 900 Metres and again near the 700 Metres.
Near the 250 Metres shifted out and bumped with NOT USUAL STAR.
Then raced tight to the inside of NOT USUAL STAR between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 FLOOF (H432) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start.
Approaching the 900 Metres was eased when crowded between LEEDOX and NOT USUAL STAR which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 10 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) A Atzeni Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
Horse No 11 PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140) H Bentley After the 700 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from SUPER FORTUNE.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Prawns Eleven won going away 150m out after a prominent run on the fence for a first win at his third local start. He had excuses in his first two starts. Toronado Phantom dashed well for second after making his run three from the rear. He continues to rack up prize money for connections this term. O'Liner stayed on well for third after chasing the speed one off with cover from gate eight. It was his best effort from four starts over the Sha Tin 1,200m. My Flying Angel made ground with one wider out from towards the rear to win a battle for fourth prize money. It was a pleasing debut effort. Not Usual Star ran on steadily down the outside to just miss the frame after settling third last from the widest draw. He's not far off a bottom. I Give was on his tippy toes 100m out after rushing to the lead 800m out from gate 10. He's likely on his mark after winning six of eight prior starts this term. Super Fortune faded after getting headed for the lead 800m out. Favourite Lady's Choice never landed a blow after a handy run one off the fence.
