Sent off at $1.6 in his bid for consecutive victories, Gorgeous Win travelled one off the rail in fourth under Zac Purton and showed his class in the straight, pulling away to salute by three-quarters of a length. Danny Shum Chap-shing's three-year-old will now find himself on a rating in the high 70s after his third win from five starts. Beauty Missile finished strongly from midfield to run second at $17 after making the step back from a mile to the 1,200m. Second favourite Rubylot ran third after encountering traffic in the straight, his second straight Class Three placing after a Class Four success down the Sha Tin straight. Ace Victory stuck on well for fourth after travelling wide from gate 10 under Jerry Chau Chun-lok, while Parterre was three lengths off the winner in fifth after also finding himself involved in the scrimmage in the straight. Fashion Legend produced an improved showing, running on for sixth from near the rear at $96

Horse No 2 ENTERPRISE ATTACK (H340) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 IMA SINGLE MAN (D476) L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 5 FASHION LEGEND (J080) A Badel Leaving the 1000 Metres shifted out when being checked away from BEAUTY MISSILE.

Horse No 6 PINS PRINCE (G013) B Thompson Jumped awkwardly and then shortly afterwards was bumped by GORGEOUS WIN which shifted out, resulting in PINS PRINCE losing ground.

Leaving the 1000 Metres after improving to the outside of ENTERPRISE ATTACK was checked when crowded between BEAUTY MISSILE which was taken in by ACE VICTORY (C L Chau) and ENTERPRISE ATTACK (L Hewitson) which shifted out.

Both C L Chau and L Hewitson were reprimanded.

Near the 300 Metres became held up behind SUNNY DARLING when that runner commenced to give ground and as a result was shifted out to obtain clear running at the 250 Metres.

Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race.

Horse No 9 PARTERRE (E234) K De Melo Approaching the 350 Metres was held up for clear running behind CAMPIONE and for some distance thereafter was unable to secure clear running when endeavouring to improve into a narrow run between CAMPIONE and METRO WARRIOR.

Horse No 10 PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

When questioned, M Chadwick stated that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and refused to settle and as a result was severely checked away from BEAUTY MISSILE leaving the 1000 Metres.
