Horse No 1 THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379) B Thompson Approaching the 400 Metres was hampered and taken wider by SPIRITED EXPRESS which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 2 SUPER SUNNY SING (G319) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 FANTASTIC TREASURE (E269) J McDonald Close to the finish was placed in restricted room between SPIRITED EXPRESS and SUPER SUNNY SING (A Atzeni) which shifted out and as a result was not ridden out to the finish.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 6 SWEET ENCOUNTER (G426) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.

Last out of the gates, Super Sunny Sing worked up to travel fifth of six on the rail under Andrea Atzeni before wearing down his rivals late to salute by half a length. Last year's Classic Cup winner was sent off an $8 fifth elect after a disappointing last-start 12th in the Group Three Centenary Vase (1,800m) but proved too strong, winning for the first time since October. Favourite Sweet Encounter sat outside leader Atullibigeal in the run before looming up and taking the ascendancy after turning for home, however he was no match for the winner late. Last-start victor Atullibigeal found again on the rail to hang on for a narrow third. Spirited Express hit the line strongly to grab fourth, threequarters of a length off the winner. The Golden Scenery crossed the line alongside Spirited Express, with his fifth a much-improved effort on his past couple of runs. Fantastic Treasure got the gun run in the box seat but couldn't find late.
