Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (424) - TSUN YIP HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 KA YING POWER (H169) Y L Chung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 JOY COMING (H149) L Hewitson Near the 850 Metres was taken wider by ERNEST FEELING which shifted out.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 ERNEST FEELING (E209) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
Near the 850 Metres was steadied when being crossed by KA YING POWER, resulting in ERNEST FEELING then shifting out.
After the race, A Hamelin reported that his mount did not travel well during the event and became unbalanced on a number of occasions before failing to finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of ERNEST FEELING was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, ERNEST FEELING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 TOP TOP TEA (H048) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly and lost ground and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 LYRICAL MOTION (G081) E C W Wong Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied away from YODA'S CHOICE.
Near the 150 Metres was bumped by COUNTRY DANCER (B Avdulla) which shifted in and as a result became unbalanced.
B Avdulla was reprimanded.
After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount jumped awkwardly and as a consequence settled slightly further back than what he had been instructed.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 YODA'S CHOICE (J146) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the hindquarters of GALLANT GOODY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) B Avdulla Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied away from LYRICAL MOTION.
Briefly held up for clear running on the Home Turn.
Approaching the 150 Metres was disappointed for clear running between JOY COMING and MULTIDARLING and was shifted to the inside of JOY COMING to secure clear running.
After the race, B Avdulla stated that he was asked to hold a position with cover from a wide barrier.
He said when his mount began only fairly, he then elected to shift COUNTRY DANCER across behind runners in the early stages to avoid covering additional ground.
Horse No 9 MULTIDARLING (H148) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SHINKANSEN (H277) B Thompson Carried wider making the Home Turn by CRYSTAL POWERFUL which shifted out to improve.
Horse No 11 CHEER FOR SOUTH (H178) M F Poon Near the 150 Metres, when giving ground, was bumped by LYRICAL MOTION.
Horse No 12 GALLANT GOODY (H434) M L Yeung Bumped at the start.

After tracking the leaders wide without cover from gate 12, Joy Coming just scrambled in after hitting the front 150m out for a second win this term. The move to blinkers worked the oracle. Well-backed Multidarling ran on nicely with two wider out to make it close on the wire after settling on the rail in midfield. It was his best run from four starts following a win in November. Favourite Lyrical Motion made late headway for third after a patient ride three from the rear. It was another honest performance. Country Dancer kept on for fourth best after switching off heels for a clear run 150m out with his bid from towards the rear. He does appear from his past two of five start to be heading in the right direction. Crystal Power made good late ground with one wider out after a patient ride one from the rear. It was another good run following back-to-back wins. Shinkansen ran on without from widest out after after biding his time two from the rear. Newcomer Yoda's Choice gradually faded after settling prominently one off the fence. He needed the run.
