Race Seven : (413) - PROSPERITY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 IMA SINGLE MAN (D476) L Hewitson Bumped on jumping.
Bumped near the 450 Metres.
Horse No 2 SUPER FORTUNE (G065) M F Poon Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping and became unbalanced.
After the race, M F Poon reported that SUPER FORTUNE coughed on pulling up.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 KA YING RISING (J062) Z Purton Crowded at the start.
Near the 800 Metres was steadied when it commenced to race keenly when positioned between MASSIVE ACTION and EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 PINS PRINCE (G013) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS.
Horse No 6 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) M L Yeung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Noted to have blood at the right nostril after the race.
An endoscopic examination conducted on ARMOUR WAR EAGLE found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.
Horse No 8 EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170) C L Chau Bumped at the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) K C Leung Lay out under pressure over the final 100 Metres and bumped with EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS passing the winning post.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 CAPTAIN WIN (E466) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 450 Metres made contact with IMA SINGLE MAN when being shifted to the outside of PINS PRINCE to improve.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 GOOD LUCK WIN (J135) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 SOLAR PARTNER (E364) B Thompson Jumped only fairly and then was badly crowded between SUPER FORTUNE and KA YING RISING which was taken out by SHOW RESPECT which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.

Ka Ying Rising got up in the late stages for the win after a prominent run one off the fence. He's had a brilliant start to his career with two wins and two seconds and there's likely more to come from the three-year-old. Lady's Choice found one just too good after reclaiming the lead 100m out after getting headed near the 200m by Eighty Light Years. He's always a chance over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Eighty Light Years grudgingly gave way after poking his head in front near the 200m after chasing the speed three wide without cover from gate nine. He's racing well. Joyful Hunter finished well for fourth without threatening the top three after biding his time wide travelling four from the rear. He had an excuse. Armour War Eagle came up one paced after slotting one off with cover travelling midfield 800m out from gate 13. He's gone reasonably well in both 1,200m runs from three local starts. Show Respect just held his ground after a rails run from midfield. He'll have to dip his legs into Class Four.
