Recap by phillip woo

Voyage Samurai led and kept finding after turning the final bend nearly two lengths on top for a smart debut win. He lived up to some nice trials. Outsider Smiling Collector stayed on nicely to grab second 50m out after wide with cover run from better than midfield. He's always hard to get right. Volcanic Spark finished very well down the outside for third after making his run at the rear from gate 14. It was a solid performance, and he clearly has the tools to add to a last start win. Invincible Lucky closed off nicely for fourth after biding his time one from the rear. It was another good effort with a step up to 1,400m at his second start this term. Golden Rise peaked on his run 50m out after facing the breeze three wide sitting near the speed the entire trip. He had an excuse. Mr Good Vibes whacked on all right along the inside after a prominent run. He'll be a force to be reckoning with if he finds his way into Class Five. Double Win faded after a speed-tracking role. He's still a work in progress.
