Race Ten : (416) - YUE YEE HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 PACKING TREADMILL (G161) L Hewitson Near the 200 Metres was brushed by REWARDING TOGETHER which lay in and away from BUNDLE OF CHARM.
Horse No 2 FLYING ACE (G045) Z Purton Slow to begin and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE (H093) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres.
Horse No 5 GALAXY PATCH (H399) K Teetan At the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from WE ARE HERO.
Lay in approaching the 150 Meres and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 GOOD LUCK FRIEND (D228) H T Mo Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid LUCKY ENCOUNTER (A Atzeni) which shifted in when not clear.
A Atzeni was reprimanded.
At the 900 Metres was again steadied away from LUCKY ENCOUNTER.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 BEAUTY CHARGE (G231) K C Leung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
At the 900 Metres was taken wider by GALAXY PATCH.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 MAJESTIC KNIGHT (G258) H Bentley Crowded at the 900 Metres.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running between HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE and LUCKY ENCOUNTER.
Over the concluding stages was held up behind LUCKY ENCOUNTER and could not be ridden out to the finish.
After the race, H Bentley stated that his intention was to lead the event, but after being slow to begin, MAJESTIC KNIGHT settled further back than he was instructed.
Horse No 10 WE ARE HERO (G207) Y L Chung When the pace steadied at the 900 Metres improved to the inside of GOOD LUCK FRIEND where there was not sufficient room, resulting in WE ARE HERO being badly crowded, having to be checked and making contact with MAJESTIC KNIGHT.
Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213) A Hamelin Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 12 ASTROLOGER (G102) B Thompson B Thompson was reminded of his obligation not to use the whip on a horse which was out of contention.
Horse No 13 LUCKY ENCOUNTER (H274) A Atzeni When the pace steadied at the 900 Metres was awkwardly placed behind REWARDING TOGETHER and was steadied away from the heels of that runner.
Approaching the 150 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by GALAXY PATCH which shifted in abruptly before being corrected by its rider K Teetan.

Howdeepisyourlove quickened nicely near the inside to take control 30m out after a patient ride fourth last for a fifth career win and first over the Sha Tin 1,200m. He was last season's Champion Griffin and relished a step back in distance. Galaxy Patch ran on well for second after a wide trip fourth from the rear. He just found one better on the day after winning four prior course and distance starts. Specked late Bundle Of Charm stayed on gamely for third after poking his head in front near the 200m after chasing the speed wide without cover. He's held his condition well after a win last start on dirt. Packing Treadmill gradually faded to just hold fourth after leading from gate seven carrying top weight. He rarely produces a bad run over the 1,200m. Lucky Encounter produced a one paced effort after a one-out, one-back run. Invincible Sage was short of room at times in the straight drive after a patient ride one from the rear. Flying Ace ran on without threatening settling last from an outside draw. He wasn't on his A-game on this occasion.
