Race One : (407) - KUNG HEI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 E GLORY (H304) K C Leung Bumped after the 400 Metres.
Horse No 2 BAYVIEW STAR (G411) A Atzeni Slow to begin.
Horse No 3 THE GOOD DEAL (G025) B Avdulla After the 400 Metres was bumped by E GLORY which shifted out to improve.
Horse No 4 RATTAN WORLD (G384) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 HERO ICON (G422) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by HAPPY TANGO (Apprentice Y L Chung) which shifted in before being corrected.
Apprentice Chung was advised to exercise more care.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, L Ferraris stated that after being crowded shortly after the start his mount settled further back than intended, failed to travel throughout the event and raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SMART LEADER (B456) K De Melo After travelling a short distance was bumped by DEVIL AND GOLD and became unbalanced.
After the race, K De Melo reported that his mount travelled well when positioned towards the rear of the field but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 TIMESTORM (G109) M F Poon Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 GET THE MONIES (G168) H Bentley Over the concluding stages was held up for clear running when improving into a narrow run between E GLORY and SWEET DIAMOND, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 10 HAPPY TANGO (D075) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 EASY TWO (G423) C L Chau Approaching the 600 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from MILLENNIUM FALCON.
Horse No 12 GREAT DAYS (H119) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 MILLENNIUM FALCON (D281) L Hewitson Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Horse No 14 DEVIL AND GOLD (G443) B Thompson Jumped only fairly, was then crowded shortly after the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No NOBLE ONE (G278) A Atzeni Withdrawn on 11.2.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter BAYVIEW STAR.
Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE ONE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Happy Tango stole the race after skipping clear by two lengths rounding the final bend following a front-running role from gate 11 for a fourth career win and first in 684 days at his 53rd start. Great Days stayed on nicely for second after getting all favours in the box seat. He had shown progress in five prior starts following a downgrade. Favourite Rattan World was doing some nice work late with three wider out to fill a placing after making his run five back and two off the fence with cover. He was able to back up a last start win but likely needed a faster tempo. E Glory ran on steadily for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was an improved effort down in Class Five wearing blinkers. Punted late Millennium Falcon stayed on all right after a one-off trip from midfield. He might be better suited over the 1,400m. Get The Monies was short of room late with his bid from towards the rear. Sweet Diamond was stopping 100m out after going forward to stalk the leader from gate 14.
