Race One : (398) - SHAN KWONG ROAD PARK HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 STORMTROUPER (E100) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
From the 200 Metres until the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between VIVA A LA and YOUNG HORIZON.
Horse No 2 NICE BIRDIE (G470) C L Chau In the early stages was caught wide and without cover when DASHING GLORY improved to its inside and as a result was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover near the 1400 Metres.
Near the 100 Metres was held up for clear running between YOUNG HORIZON and SUPER HORNET and made contact with SUPER HORNET approaching the finish.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and then raced keenly in the early stages.
Horse No 4 BIG TWO (E310) H Bentley Jumped only fairly and then was checked when crowded between SUPER HORNET and DASHING GLORY which was taken out by BRILLIANT PIONEER which shifted out before being corrected by its rider K Teetan.
Bumped near the 550 Metres.
Horse No 5 CIRCUIT ELITE (E487) M Chadwick A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248) Z Purton Blundered shortly after the start.
Near the 450 Metres was shifted to the inside of the weakening DASHING GLORY to continue into clear running.
After the race%2C Z Purton could offer no excuse for his mount%27s disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 UNITED ENDEAVORS (G030) M L Yeung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 BRILLIANT PIONEER (G255) K Teetan Near the 550 Metres shifted out and made contact with BIG TWO.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 DASHING GLORY (G397) K De Melo Crowded at the start.
Near the 1500 Metres improved to the inside of NICE BIRDIE and then raced tight to the inside of that runner for a short distance thereafter and as a result made contact with NICE BIRDIE.
When questioned%2C K De Melo stated that with the horse stepping up to 1650 Metres tonight%2C he was asked to take up a forward position on his mount.
He said although DASHING GLORY jumped only fairly%2C he rode his mount along in the early stages to comply with his instructions which resulted in DASHING GLORY being able to obtain a position outside the lead near the 1000 Metres.
He added approaching the Home Turn he felt something may be amiss with DASHING GLORY as it hung in and as a result he eased it down from the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of DASHING GLORY%2C which finished tailed out%2C was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again%2C DASHING GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
Horse No 12 SUPER HORNET (G043) Y L Chung Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.

Following a run on the rail in midfield, United Endeavors took the lead near the 100m marker and was too good for a second win over the Valley 1,650m from 24 starts. Brilliant Pioneer weaved late to just take second after a patient ride one from the rear. He relished a return to the course of an early second over a shorter trip. Big Two ran on nicely down the outside for a placing after getting poleaxed at the start. He's run well twice over the Valley 1,650m from three starts following a downgrade. Travelling four back on the fence, Stormtrouper barged through a gap 100m out and ran on steadily near the inside for fourth. He has the tools to score soon in this grade. Charming Steed kept on all right after finding a spot one-out, one-back from gate 12. He can bob up at any moment after hovering around the finish in his past three starts on both surfaces. Viva A La gradually faded after working hard to lead from gate 10. He's well rated off an earlier win this term and might be able to steal a race in the not-too-distant future. Favourite Regency Happy Star never landed a blow from behind midfield.
