Race Eight : (386) - LOCKHART HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 BRAVE STAR (G268) L Hewitson Crowded shortly after the start.
After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount raced "flat" tonight and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 VIVA CHALEUR (G368) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the race, H Bowman stated that in the early stages he had some concern with his mount's action when it was racing on the wrong lead leg.
He said in the Home Straight VIVA CHALEUR balanced up, but failed to finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 ARMOUR EAGLE (G093) K C Leung Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Horse No 7 BEAUTY WAVES (H294) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 HOSS (H055) A Atzeni Whilst proceeding to the Start, A Atzeni was dislodged from his mount without incident.
HOSS was quickly recaptured, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Horse No 10 GOLDEN DARCI (H470) K De Melo Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to POWER KOEPP.
Horse No 11 MEGA BONUS (E184) A Hamelin Shortly after the start was bumped by ARMOUR EAGLE, became unbalanced, shifted in and made contact with BRAVE STAR.
After the race, A Hamelin reported that with the strong early pace and his mount being up in grade this evening, it was under pressure to maintain its position outside the leader BEAUTY WAVES and gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 SPEED SWORD (H397) A Badel Made contact with its barrier on jumping.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres commenced to race ungenerously for a short distance when positioned to the inside of VIVA CHALEUR.
After the race, A Badel reported that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley tonight, raced greenly throughout the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After finding a prominent spot one off with cover from gate 12, the well-fancied Tomodachi Kokoroe took control 50m out for a third win from eighth starts this term. He had continued to run well from awkward gates in two prior starts following a win. Favourite Beauty Waves found one too good after darting to the lead from gate three. He'll be picking up a win shortly after placing in his past four starts. Righteous Arion held off A Americ Te Specso for third after making his run from five back and one off the fence. He continues to finish in the mix following a win in a lower grade. A Americ Te Specso finished well after biding his time two from the rear. It was another honest effort. Power Koepp stayed on better after a handy run on the fence. He might not be far off a bottom. Armour Eagle produced only a grinding effort after a one-off trip from midfield. Golden Darci made some ground after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a better run following a stable change.
