Race Five : (365) - KESTREL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 SKY FOREVER (E414) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 EVERYONE'S VICTORY (E177) H Bentley Bumped on jumping.
After the race, H Bentley reported that his mount hung out throughout the event, particularly in the Home Straight, and as a consequence proved difficult to ride out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE'S VICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 COLOURFUL PRINCE (E418) L Hewitson Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 ROBOT KNIGHT (H464) L Ferraris Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
When questioned regarding his riding out of ROBOT KNIGHT over the final 50 Metres, L Ferraris stated that after pulling his whip through to his right hand near the 200 Metres to place his mount under pressure, ROBOT KNIGHT responded well to his urgings.
He said approaching the 50 Metres when his mount came under full pressure, he then changed his whip to his left hand, but in doing so dropped his left rein for a number of strides before being able to regather it and as a result he was not able to fully test his mount for a number of strides.
Horse No 6 SHANGHAI STYLE (J093) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly, bumped with COLOURFUL PRINCE and became unbalanced.
Horse No 7 SHINING FORTUNE (G252) A Atzeni Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 8 REGENT GLORY (E323) K C Leung Approaching the 400 Metres raced tight between ROBOT KNIGHT and RED MAVERICK which shifted out slightly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 DIAMOND SOARS (G201) Y L Chung When questioned, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that his instructions were to go forward but after jumping only fairly and then being crowded shortly after, DIAMOND SOARS settled further back than anticipated.
He added DIAMOND SOARS resented the kickback in the early stages on the All Weather Surface before being able to finish the race off well in the Home Straight.
Horse No 10 ACA POWER (E144) E C W Wong From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 11 RED MAVERICK (J067) M L Yeung Bumped at the start.

Following a patient ride third last from a wide draw, well-backed Sky Forever quickened nicely with two wider out to take control near the 100m for a second local win from 23 post-import starts. Cool Blue ran on nicely for second after biding his time three from the rear along the inside. It was a season-best effort with the addition of a visor. Diamond Soars ran on well for third after a one-off trip behind midfield. He's mixing his form but did place two runs ago over the Valley's 1,000m course. Robot Knight rushed to the lead 250m out but tired late following a wide trip chasing the speed from barrier eight. It was a pleasing debut effort. Aca Power just failed to get up for fourth after settling last from gate 12. It was another honest effort. Flying Dragon only plodded after having every chance coming off the fence in midfield. He yet again failed to find another gear carrying top weight. Regent Glory just plodded after a one-out, one-back run. He's found it harder carrying more weight in his past two starts. Following a speed-tracking run, Shanghai Style moved to the front 600m out but had little left in the tank over the last 150m.
