Race Four : (364) - SWAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 BIG TWO (E310) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly.
For some distance near the 500 Metres raced tight to the inside of REGENCY HAPPY STAR.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 STARSHIP EIGHTY (H022) K Teetan Near the 400 Metres was bumped by REGENCY HAPPY STAR which shifted out.
Horse No 4 GO GO GO (H196) C Y Ho A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 900 Metres commenced a forward move and raced wide and without cover thereafter.
Near the 400 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Horse No 6 UNITED ENDEAVORS (G030) Y L Chung For a short distance near the 50 Metres raced tight to the inside of PRECISION GOAL and as a result could not be fully tested.
Horse No 8 PRECISION GOAL (H016) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 CHARMING STEED (E494) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SUPER JOY (G251) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 400 Metres was held up for clear running between CHIRON and GO GO GO which shifted out slightly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, SUPER JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 11 DEVIL AND GOLD (G443) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly.
Making the turn near the 1400 Metres lay out.
Horse No 12 SHENZHOU TWELVE (G164) M L Yeung The performance of SHENZHOU TWELVE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SHENZHOU TWELVE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 CHIRON (E151) K C Leung Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by COMPULSORY.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 COMPULSORY (E328) M Chadwick Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded by UNITED ENDEAVORS (Apprentice Y L Chung) which shifted in.
Apprentice Chung was severely reprimanded.

Outsider Chiron came from the rear and widest out to overhaul Charming Steed 50m from home for a second career win over the dirt's 1,650m course at his 30th start. He's hard to get right but was rated 11 points below his latest win in March. Charming Steed slotted one off the rail in third and did everything right but could not get the win after surging to the lead 300m out. He's well rated and relished the step up to 1,650m at his second consecutive try on the surface. Asian One ran on steadily after a rail run behind midfield to fill a placing. He could get away with a race on this surface and at this level soon. Early favourite Starship Eighty finished well for fourth after a one-off trip behind midfield. It was another honest effort. Baebae Tsoi had little left in the tank 100m out after a speed-tracking run. It was a better effort trying the dirt for the first time. Late-fancied favourite Precision Goal was on his tippy toes 100m out after rushing forward to lead from gate 14. He needs to draw a gate. Go Go Go ran on without threatening after making his run four from the rear. His ability is limited.
