Recap by phillip woo

Punted late, Super Fast Dragon showed a good turn of foot down the outside to win going away after settling wide and third last from gate 12. It was an overdue win after putting the writing on the wall in his past two starts. Following a prominent run on the fence, Beauty Destiny found one too smart after poking his head in front 60m out. Stepping back to 1,000m, it was his best run from three starts this term. Oversubscribed ran on nicely to fill a place after a wide trip from midfield. He's holding his form very well after his last start win. Harmony Fire grudgingly gave way after working to the lead 350m out along the inside. It was another honest effort carrying top weight. Circuit Seven came from the rear to finish next best following his usual slow start. He's a punter and owners nightmare. Savvy Delight ran on without threatening after a one-off trip from midfield. He couldn't build on a placing last start. Sergeant Pepper was retreating 100m out after vying for the front between runners. Life Is Good couldn't build on a win last start following a handy run.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five : (311) - ROBIN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters

Horse No 1 HARMONY FIRE (E175) H Bentley Bumped at the start.

Horse No 3 SAVVY DELIGHT (E386) K Teetan Bumped at the start.

Horse No 4 FALCON COURT (J056) A Atzeni From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the race, A Atzeni stated that he became concerned with his mount's action from the 500 Metres and as a consequence eased FALCON COURT down in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of FALCON COURT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, FALCON COURT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 LIFE IS GOOD (H118) Y L Chung Raced tight for some distance shortly after the start.

After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that his mount may be better suited by being ridden slightly more conservatively in the early stages to allow it to finish off more strongly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 KOWLOON EAST STAR (E158) B Avdulla Approaching the 300 Metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of SERGEANT PEPPER which shifted out and away from HARMONY FIRE.

When questioned regarding his riding, B Avdulla stated that he had expected to hold the lead, but in the early stages when SERGEANT PEPPER and HARMONY FIRE held their positions to his inside, he was caught wide and without cover.

He added from the 800 Metres he was reluctant to ride KOWLOON EAST STAR forward, particularly when he felt SERGEANT PEPPER would cross HARMONY FIRE which would provide KOWLOON EAST STAR a position one-off.

He said when SERGEANT PEPPER remained racing to the outside of HARMONY FIRE, KOWLOON EAST STAR was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

He further stated that his mount was not travelling well enough to ride forward and cross SERGEANT PEPPER and as a result remained racing three deep.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 SAME TO YOU (H057) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 9 OVERSUBSCRIBED (C361) A Badel Bumped on jumping.

Horse No 10 BEAUTY DESTINY (H281) M Chadwick Making the Home Turn, when racing keenly, shifted out and was steadied away from SERGEANT PEPPER.

After the race, M Chadwick stated that, in accordance with the advice provided to the Stewards by Trainer F C Lor at its previous start, he was asked to ride BEAUTY DESTINY with cover behind the speed tonight as it failed to finish the race off strongly when it led at its previous race start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 11 CIRCUIT SEVEN (D474) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Horse No 12 SUPER FAST DRAGON (G456) L Hewitson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
