Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (268) - NEPTUNE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) C Y Ho When questioned, C Y Ho stated that his instructions were to hold a forward position, but his mount jumped only fairly and then was crowded soon after the start when GRATEFUL HEART shifted out.
He said he elected to settle in a rearward position rather than being caught wide and without cover.
He further stated that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, TOMODACHI KOKOROE ran home well.
Horse No 3 GRATEFUL HEART (D278) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly, shifted out soon after the start and became unbalanced.
After the race, A Atzeni reported that after settling back in the field, his mount did not respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) C L Chau From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when briefly crowded between POWER KOEPP and EXCELLENT PEERS which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 6 O'LINER (H264) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 JOLLY RULER (E346) L Hewitson Bumped shortly after the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 GIDDY UP (J020) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
In the early stages raced ungenerously and making the turn near the 1000 Metres became unbalanced when racing in restricted room to the inside of JOLLY RULER.
Then continued to race ungenerously for some distance thereafter.
Leaving the 600 Metres got its head up and became unbalanced.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 GOLDEN DARCI (H470) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 11 SUPERB KID (H298) K De Melo Slow to begin.
Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of GOLDEN DARCI to continue into clear running.
Horse No 12 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) A Badel Crowded shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Healthy Healthy travelled one off the fence in midfield and responded nicely to win going away 50m out. It was his third win from his past four starts, and he did despite his rise in class. His trainer can do no wrong this season, and he has the tools to win again. O'Liner kept on gamely for second after dictating the pace from gate one. He has given a decent sight in his past two races. Lightning Bolt dashed well to fill a placing after making his run two from the rear. He continued his good form following two Happy Valley 1,200m wins earlier this term. Excellent Peers made a decent bid late for fourth after his trip one off the rail behind midfield. It was another honest effort. Tomodachi Kokoroe got going late with three wider out after making his run towards the rear from gate 11. It was not a bad effort following his change in tactics. Act Of Faith did not have much left in the tank 100m out following his speed-tracking run. Power Koepp had his chance after his midfield run on the fence but came up one-paced over the final 150m. Jolly Ruler weakened in the dash to the wire after his prominent run with cover.
