Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (263) - MARS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 TOP TOP TEA (H048) K H Chan Jumped awkwardly.
When being crossed by BALLISTIC WIN near the 600 Metres commenced to race ungenerously, shifted in and away from BALLISTIC WIN and became unbalanced.
For some distance near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind GALLANT VALOUR.
Horse No 3 E BROTHER (E266) K C Leung After the race, K C Leung reported that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to take up a position outside the lead whereby E BROTHER then over-raced throughout the early and middle stages.
He added as a result E BROTHER was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 BALLISTIC WIN (J040) C L Chau For some distance after the 400 Metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of FLYING PHANTOM.
Horse No 5 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) K De Melo Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 6 FLYING PHANTOM (J086) Z Purton Approaching the 1000 Metres raced keenly when briefly crowded between BALLISTIC WIN which was racing tight to the inside of E BROTHER and GALLANT GOODY which shifted out slightly.
Near the 600 Metres raced tight to the inside of COPARTNER PRANCE and at the 550 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from E BROTHER.
On the Home Turn was bumped and taken wider by GALLANT VALOUR which shifted to the outside of E BROTHER to improve.
Horse No 7 SKY PROPHET (J095) C Y Ho Crowded on jumping and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from SUPER EAGLE.
Horse No 8 GALLANT VALOUR (H323) J McDonald Bumped on the Home Turn.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 STERLING WONGCHOY (H273) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 GALLANT GOODY (H434) A Atzeni After the race, A Atzeni stated that he was instructed to take up a forward position and his mount showed sufficient pace to lead, but gave ground when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 JOY FOR YOU (H270) M L Yeung When racing keenly after the 900 Metres was steadied away from WINNING HEART.
Near the 600 Metres was briefly crowded.
Horse No 12 SUPER EAGLE (G408) K Teetan Crowded shortly after the start.

Firming favourite Gallant Valour raced prominently, hit the front 150m out and kept on gamely to shed his maiden tag on his sixth start. He lived up to his eye-catching last-start third on his first go over Happy Valley's 1,200m. Super Eagle ran on nicely with two wider out to grab second after Karis Teetan rode him patiently third last. He keeps promising without saluting. Brown-lamped Copartner Prance just held on for third after chasing the speed wide without cover from gate 11. It was a better effort on his second start. Top Top Tea made headway late to just miss third after his trip one off the fence behind midfield. He should find his mark in this grade soon. Flying Phantom kept on all right after his run one off the rail better than midfield. It was a pleasing debut effort. Sky Prophet came on late down the outside to finish next the best after showing no early speed from barrier nine. It was a positive bow. Winning Heart made a mild bid after his midfield run on the inside. He is crying out for a longer trip. Specked late, debutant Ballistic Win just held his ground after his midfield run wide with cover.
