Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (247) - KWUN TONG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 SCOTCH TYCOON (G088) Z Purton After the race, Z Purton could offer no explanation for the performance of the horse.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, SCOTCH TYCOON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP (H295) A Atzeni Inside the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of SCOTCH TYCOON to continue into clear running.
Horse No 3 HIGH RISE SOLDIER (C511) C Y Ho Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 4 YOUNG LIFE FOREVER (G308) J McDonald A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse had returned an abnormal heart rate requiring further assessment and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG LIFE FOREVER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Following further assessment of the abnormal heart rate, the Stewards will consider if any further action is taken against the horse.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 TRAVEL GOLF (H063) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay out over the final 150 Metres.
Horse No 6 GOLDEN LONG (H462) M Chadwick Hampered shortly after the start when crowded by SEE U AGAIN which shifted in and away from COMPASSION SUPER.
Approaching the 1000 Metres raced tight to the inside of SEE U AGAIN.
Near the 900 Metres was hampered when crowded between YOUNG LIFE FOREVER which lay out and COMPASSION SUPER.
Then raced ungenerously for some distance thereafter.

Horse No 7 SEE U AGAIN (G247) C L Chau Approaching the 1000 Metres raced tight to the inside of COMPASSION SUPER.
Horse No 8 SIGHT VICTORY (H378) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and was crowded shortly after the start.
Then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 COMPASSION SUPER (G283) K C Leung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 SEA SAPPHIRE (H343) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 SHINKANSEN (H277) K Teetan Approaching the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run between MULTIDARLING and HIGH RISE SOLDIER and then until the 100 Metres raced tight between those runners when HIGH RISE SOLDIER shifted out.

Newcomer Golden Long travelled handily on the fence and raced away to win by two lengths. He lived up to his recent Happy Valley trial, and there is more to come from the three-year-old gelding. Shinkansen dashed nicely to snatch second after settling fourth last. He relished dropping in distance and a victory is around the corner. See U Again just missed out on a runner-up spot after his midfield trip one off the rail. He is building towards a win with consecutive placings. High Rise Soldier ran on well with two wider out to just miss a placing after travelling one off the fence behind midfield. He is well-rated. Sea Sapphire dictated the tempo from barrier one but was on his tippy toes 100m out. He has given decent sights in his past two three starts but remains a work in progress. Travel Golf finished the next best after settling second last from the outside gate. He is one to keep safe from a better draw. Multidarling ran on from towards the rear without threatening the winner. Favourite Young Life Forever came up empty when James McDonald asked him for his effort. He disappointed punters.
