Race Four : (208) - CROOKSTON CASTLE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 SUN OF MAKFI (D157) B Avdulla After the race, B Avdulla stated that his mount travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages but came under pressure from the 600 Metres and raced "flat?? A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, SUN OF MAKFI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 HAPPY HERO (G322) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the race, L Hewitson stated that his mount was disadvantaged by having to make a wide run rounding the Home Turn but finished the race off reasonably well.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 TRAVEL GUIDE (H182) L Ferraris Near the 150 Metres was bumped by GOLDEN FAIRY which shifted out.
Horse No 4 GOLD STERLING (H032) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 FORTUNE TRIPLE (D274) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 TURTLE AGAIN (H083) K C Leung Made contact with a rail on leaving the Parade Ring, examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 DIAMOND WINNER (H285) A Hamelin Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 10 JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly and as a result lost ground.
Horse No 11 MIGHTY STAR (G117) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 12 GOLDEN FAIRY (E448) K De Melo Had some difficulty obtaining clear running near the 150 Metres and bumped with TRAVEL GUIDE.

Favourite Turtle Again tracked the speed on the fence and shot clear 200m out to register his first victory on his 13th start. He had been knocking on the door in each of his four races this season and could win again. Golden Sterling ran on nicely to grab second after making his run five back on the rail. He had shown bits of improvement in his past two starts at this level. Rank outsider Diamond Winner finished well to edge Colourful Baron for third after receiving a patient ride two from the rear. It was the best of his nine starts. Punted late, Colourful Baron finished fourth after travelling one off the fence behind midfield. He is building towards a victory. Joyful Champion plodded over the final 100m after settling midfield on the rail in spite of his tardy beginning. He ran all right but performs better at Sha Tin. Happy Hero ran on from near the rear without threatening the placegetters. He did not cope carrying more weight following his 2,000m win. Viva A La was running on empty inside the final 200m after finding the front from gate four. He did not get the trip.
