Race Seven : (201) - THE CHEVALIER CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 1 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 RED LION (H115) Z Purton After the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly when HAPPY TOGETHER improved to its outside and as a result was steadied away from the heels of BOURBONAIRE and shifted out.
After the race, Z Purton stated that, in his opinion, RED LION did not run out the 1600 Metres of today's event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 CIRCUIT STELLAR (G076) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 3 RUNNING GLORY (G010) K Teetan Bumped shortly after the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Due to the disappointing performance, RUNNING GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
Horse No 5 SUPER SUNNY SING (G319) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly, shifted in and bumped RED LION.

The Golden Scenery never went around a horse to just deny Atullibigeal after hitting the lead 150m out following a rails run from better than midfield for a second win at his first try over the 1,600m from five starts this term. Atullibigeal just failed to get up with two wider out after a rails run from behind midfield. He's racing well this term. Post-time favourite Happy Together had his chance after a prominent run one off the fence. It was another good effort despite a rise in class. Super Sunny Sing got going late down the outside for fourth after a patient ride two from the rear. He prefers a stronger tempo. The Best Peach came from a distant last to finish next best. It was a good run on the back of a slow tempo. Circuit Stellar just held his ground after a handy run one off the fence despite being reunited with in-form claimer Alfred Chung Yik-Lai. He does appear from his past few runs to be on his mark. Telecom Fighters weakened 100m out after dictating the run from gate six. He's a Valley horse. Red Lion didn't click after getting all favours chasing the leading pair. The big weight and mile trip went against him.
