Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (142) - ELEANOR HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 THE BEST PEACH (H139) Z Purton From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was positioned close to the heels of SNAFFLES as that runner shifted out.
Near the 150 Metres was steadied and directed to the outside of GALAXY WITNESS to secure clear running.
Over the concluding stages lay in and then proved reluctant to shift to the outside of BEAUTYVERSE when that runner was taken out slightly by HAPPY TOGETHER.
Horse No 2 BEAUTY LIVE (G057) K C Leung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 ERIMO (E193) B Avdulla Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 GALAXY WITNESS (G110) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 6 CHING (G380) L Hewitson When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, L Hewitson stated that on straightening he endeavoured to shift CHING out to secure clear running to the outside of BEAUTY LIVE.
He said CHING was somewhat reluctant to shift out and also did not respond immediately to his riding and as a result he was unable to secure clear running at that point when SNAFFLES shifted to the inside of BEAUTY LIVE.
He added that as a result CHING was then held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres where it secured a narrow run between MOMENTS IN TIME and BEAUTY LIVE.
The Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Hewitson were reasonable in the circumstances.
Horse No 7 HAPPY TOGETHER (G446) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 POWERFUL WINGS (G225) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 BEAUTYVERSE (H075) Y L Chung Passing the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and as a result was steadied away from HAPPY TOGETHER.
Approaching the 400 Metres became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by GALAXY WITNESS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 SNAFFLES (G299) K Teetan For a short distance approaching the 400 Metres raced tight between ERIMO and SUPERB BOY which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Well-backed to jump favourite Happy Together kept finding after hitting the front 200m out from behind midfield to remain perfect in two starts this season for new trainer Frankie Lor Fu-chuen. He's showing his true colours now and can win again. Beautyverse dashed well near the outside to finish a close second after a patient ride two from the rear. It was his best run from 12 starts with the claim well utilised after a debut win over this trip. The Best Peach dashed well near the outside to fill a placing settling second last from the widest draw. It was a good effort carrying top weight. Superb Boy knocked up late after poking his head in front 300m out following a box-seat run. The rise in class and distance was too much to overcome after winning two on the bounce over 1,400m. Early favourite Ching finished next best after getting held up for a good part of the straight from midfield. Galaxy Witness came up one-paced over the last 100m with his bid from one wider out from behind midfield.
