Wunderbar out-duelled Multisuper after hitting the front 150m out chasing the leader Parents' Love for a nice debut win. He did win his final of five trials and there's more improvement to come from him. Multisuper found one just too good after tracking the leading pair in the middle of the track from gate three. He's racing well without winning. Run Run Timing stayed on nicely for third after making his run from midfield. It was a good run on debut. Strathbarry finished well to edge favourite Parents' Love for fourth travelling second last after copping a bump off the start. It was a pleasing debut performance. Parents' Love knocked up 100m out after finding the front as expected on his trials from gate seven. He's a lightly framed individual. Amazing Ace made some ground without threatening from behind midfield. The return to Sha Tin didn't pan out after a placing last start at the Valley. Sterling Wongchoy finished next best from behind midfield near the far side. He's bred to want a further trip.

Race Three : (140) - KATE TOKYO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters

Horse No 1 AMAZING ACE (H359) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly.

Near the 350 Metres blundered.

Horse No 2 DIVINE SHINING (G373) K C Leung Approaching the 400 Metres became unbalanced when STERLING WONGCHOY shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

Horse No 3 HONG KONG HALL (G315) L Ferraris After the race, L Ferraris reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of HONG KONG HALL, a last start winner, was considered to be disappointing as compared to its last start.

Before being allowed to race again, HONG KONG HALL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 SPARKLING DOLPHIN (C332) H T Mo A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 STERLING WONGCHOY (H273) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 10 STRATHBARRY (H413) C L Chau Shortly after the start was crowded between RUN RUN TIMING and AMAZING ACE which was taken in by UNIVERSAL PURSUIT which in turn was taken in by HONG KONG HALL.

Passing the 400 Metres shifted to the inside of RUN RUN TIMING to secure clear running and raced greenly when placed under pressure for a short distance thereafter.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted at the request of Trainer T P Yung.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, STRATHBARRY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 13 UNIVERSAL PURSUIT (H286) A Atzeni Hampered shortly after the start.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 14 GOLDEN WARSTEED (G350) M Chadwick Was noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.

Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN WARSTEED will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
