Horse No 1 CHATEAU (H214) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
Bumped near the 300 Metres.
Horse No 3 PACKING SUCCEEDER (H038) L Hewitson Near the 100 Metres was bumped by DURHAM STAR which shifted in slightly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 GOLDEN BULL (H019) M Chadwick After the race, M Chadwick stated that the only excuse he could offer for his mount's disappointing performance was that it was having its first run at Happy Valley today.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
Horse No 6 NINJA DERBY (H339) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 7 RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE (C197) K C Leung Crowded shortly after the start and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 DURHAM STAR (E082) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Near the 300 Metres shifted out and made contact with CHATEAU.
After the race, B Avdulla stated that after settling back in the field his mount ran on reasonably and, in his opinion, is looking for additional distance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 LITTLE FAIRY (H206) A Atzeni From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied away from CONCERTO and shifted to that runner's inside to secure clear running.

Early favourite Durham Star ran down long-time leader Dragon Star 60m out from behind midfield for a third win and first over the Valley 1,650m from 31 starts. He finally repaid punters after costly fourths in his first two starts this term. Dragon Star kept on gamely after rolling forward three wide from gate 11 to eventually find the front 1,300m out. He's racing well but continues to find one or a couple too good in his four starts this term. Plunged late Red Hare King just won a tight battle for third after getting all favours in the box seat. It was a better effort after showing little in his first two starts this term. Post-time favourite Packing Succeeder just failed to get up for third from midfield on the fence. It was a return to form following a stable change. Concerto made only a mild bid after a one-off run outside Pacing Succeeder. He's come up one paced in both starts this term. Ninja Derby made some ground late without threatening after biding his time three from the rear. It was his best effort with a step up in trip from six starts.
