Racing Incident Report
Race One : (101) - CONTRACT BRIDGE 1400M HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 MASTER OF LUCK (G276) H Bentley Bumped heavily at the start by MULTIWIN.
In the middle stages raced keenly.
Horse No 2 PROSECCO (E457) Z Purton Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 CASA LEGEND (G126) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 4 CURLING SPEED (H015) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start.
Bumped passing the 1300 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 CHARMING STEED (E494) K H Chan After being placed into the barriers had its right front leg over the partition for a considerable period.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice, CHARMING STEED was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, CHARMING STEED will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 GOOD BOY (H209) A Hamelin Passing the 1300 Metres raced tight to the inside of FIRE BALL which lay in despite the efforts of its rider and as a result GOOD BOY made contact with CURLING SPEED.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 MULTIWIN (H023) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
Then despite being ridden along in the early stages was unable to hold a more forward position.
Horse No 8 GLUCK RACER (E157) K Teetan After being placed into the barriers and being positioned next to CHARMING STEED, was examined by the Veterinary Officer to ascertain if the horse had sustained any injury due to CHARMING STEED getting the right front leg over into its barrier stall.
When CHARMING STEED was being removed from the barriers, it became entangled in the reins of GLUCK RACER which resulted in that gear being replaced before the start.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 YOO YOO KNIGHT (H053) C L Chau Briefly held up passing the 400 Metres behind FIRE BALL.
Horse No 10 FIRE BALL (D087) M F Poon After the race, M F Poon stated that his mount was obliged to race three wide with cover throughout the event, but when he felt that there was something amiss with FIRE BALL over the concluding stages, he did not ride it out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, FIRE BALL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 12 FORTUNE MASTER (D371) B Avdulla Badly crowded on jumping.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 COMPULSORY (E328) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and then shortly after the start was crowded for room.

Gluck Racer showed a good turn of foot with one wider out after a wide trip with cover travelling three from the rear to win going away 60m out for a fourth career win. He was resuming well-rated down in Class Five for new trainer Cody Mo. Fortune Master ran on nicely after a rails run from behind midfield to just take second. It was a better effort from an ideal draw after a first-up defeat with mucus from gate 14. Favourite Prosecco stayed on well for third but did get every chance after a one-out, one-back run. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. Compulsory came from well back to take second. It was his best run from 13 starts off a new rating low for his new trainer. Casa Legend ran on well from last and widest out to finish next best. It was a bad effort at his first-up this term down in Class Five. Apex Top was giving way 100m out after quickly finding the front from gate 13. He should come on from the effort.
